From the Comino Mountains ...
From Verdasio-Stazione (550 meters above sea level), take the cable car that leads to the Monti di Comino (1'150 meters above sea level). Once you reach the small Church of the Madonna della Segna, take the marked path that leads into the woods towards Pizzo Ruscada. The challenging path climbs up the ridge that divides the Centovalli from the Onsernone Valley. Passing in a continuous ups and downs, first from Pizzin and then from Pianasc, you get to Pescia Lunga where you cross the path that goes up from Lionza. After a short stop, continue towards the Corte Nuovo Refuge which is about twenty minutes away. This route is not practicable in the winter period.

From Lionza ...
The small village of Lionza (774 masl) can be reached by car or in 50 minutes on foot from the railway station of Camedo (549 masl). Crossing the nucleus it is worth stopping to admire the Palazzo Tondu, an important sign of emigration from the Vallerana. After passing the fountain and the wash house, the well-marked path leads into the woods. The walk is pleasant and not particularly demanding up to the Monti di Saurée after which it becomes more direct, but never dangerous up to the Alpe di Pescia Lunga. From there, turning left, you go up until you reach the Corte Nuovo Refuge. The path is also practicable in winter.

From the coast...
The village of Costa (875 meters above sea level) can be reached by car or on foot in 50 minutes from the Camedo train station (549 meters above sea level). Once in the square, continue towards the upper part of the village as far as the fountain, here you turn right and take the well-marked path that leads into the woods towards Pizzo Ruscada. Initially quiet, once you have passed the Mulitt valley the path continues steeply and with some exposed passages, up to the Corte Nuovo Refuge. This path is not practicable in winter.
